I am looking for any information about the forbears & siblings of Peter Jamieson who married Janet Robertson in Shetland around 1812. They had 4 children - Arthur (1814); Agnes (1816); Thomas Gifford (1821; Elizabeth (1825. All were born in Brae, Delting, Shetland.
Thomas Jamieson married Robina Robertson & they came to Australia in 1857. They had 6 children in Shetland & 6 in Victoria, Aust., but they lost 6 of them in infancy. Thomas was a SSPCK Teacher in Shetland & a State School Teacher in Victoria. They must have travelled around the Goldfileds quite a bit as most of the children were born in different places. The children were - Mary Elizabeth Irvine (1848) Peter (1850) Thomas Gifford (1854) Robina Charlotte (1854) William Campbell Wallace (1864) & Eliza Margaret (1869). Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
