MICHAEL McCARTHY and CATHARINE MONAHAN were my
great, great grandparents. They were named on the marriage certificate of their daughter, CAHTARINE to JOHN McGOWAN on May 29, 1877 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Liverpool, England. Michael was deceased at the time of the marriage. Could anyone help me find a death record for him. He had been a Tea Dealer and his widow, Catharine was living at 5 Lower Milk Street in Liverpool at the time of her daughter's marriage.
Also, does anyone have access to the St. Mary's church records or an adddress for them?
I believe that Catharine was born in 1853-54 ( she was 24 in 1877 ) and I would love to have the information that would be on a Baptismal record. I am also wondering if she had any brothers or sisters.
Someone told me about a "GRO" index, but I don't know how to access it. Does anyone know how to find Catharine's birth information in it??
