Looking for Violet May Hughes or any children. "Vi" was born 18 December 1926 in or around the Herriard, Basingstoke, Hampshire area. Her maiden name was Violet May Hughes.
'Vi' had thick, curly dark brown/black hair and brown or hazel eyes. About 5 feet 4 inches tall and suffered from epilepsy.
Her mother was Sarah Jane Fosberry. Her father was George Charles Hughes. He was Welsh or of Welsh origins.
'Vi' had a sister called Florence(Flo)who married Dan Smith. She also had a brother called George who died in 1964 aged 42 years.
'Vi' married Bob Elson in 1948 in Old Basing. Her son George was born in 1950. She 'disappeared' about 1953/4.
George was eventually adopted by his aunt and uncle and now lives in New Zealand and has a 21 year old daughter ('Vi's' grandaughter). Any information gratefully received.
