My father (1902-1954)an Englishman, was in the American Red Cross during WW2. I have a (JPEG) photo of him in his ARC uniform with medal rebbons on it. The A.R.C. have "lost" the records of his service and because of the poor quality of the photo the Imperial War Museum are unable to identify the medal ribbons. Does anyone have a suggestion how I can find out what the medals were and when issued? (I am not able to get a normal copy of the photo.) As I never knew my father any information I can find on this would be very welcome. Thanks.
