In 1857 my ggf James McEntee came to Covington, KY with 3 siblings and his parents. Another sister, MAry, remained in Scotland. She married James Blain in the 1860s, had a son, James, in 1865 and came to Covington in 1866. This family had moved to Scotland from County Cavan Ireland in 1846 or 47. I do not know why she remained in Scotland in 1857. Possibly she had been married to someone else and became a widow later. I would like to have some suggestions of where to look for information on where my family lived in Scotland and on the Blain family. The names of the family members who emigrated in 1857 are Patrick and Ann(Eana or Namcy) Patrick, Thomas, Elizabeth and James McEntee.
