| I'm building a family tree for my Bernau relatives. Would be grateful for any info. My great grandfather was Ferdinand Wilhelm Ludwig Bernau, born in Brandenburg, emigrated to London. Had a bootmaking and leatherware business in St. James. I think at least one brother of his also emigrated to London. And that he had at least one son besides my grandfather (Alfred William Edmund), who may have moved to Australia. When Ferdinand died, an Ada Bernau was at his address in Margate, Kent. |
