I am trying to find the Ashton family that lived in Barts Building on Seward St, Finsbury, London in approx the mid 1920s.
My grandfather Albert John Augustus Ashton born 15 February 1926 and was apparently 1 of 21 children in his family (7 sets of twins). His parents names were William Albert Ashton and Ellen Ashton (unsure of maiden name). He fought in the Battle of Crete on the HMS Kelly during World War II and survived this with only losing his left eye.
My father Michael William Ashton has never had the opportunity to meet any of his aunties, uncles, cousins etc as my grandfather did not keep in contact with his family once he immigrated to New Zealand after the war where he married my grandmother Pearl Williams and had 4 children Michael (my father), Judith, Caroline and Karen (twins).
