| First of all,thank you very much for those who have helped me so far,it is very kind of you.I have found out that my family have come from Ashdon and Little Easton Essex.Is there anyone who can help me with my search in tracing my family pre 1705,JOHN MATTHEWS who married MARY ANCELL,Ashdon ESSEX,or can advise me the best way to go from here,as i am very new to all this and i am finding it very difficult as MATTHEWS is a common name,also my grt grandfather GEORGE DOWLEY born in lewisham 1850,who daughter AGNES married my Grandfather Joseph Matthews,he served in the British army in india,how can i get hold of his army records?as we know nothing of the Dowley side.Thank you all once again anybody who can help me....maria |
