GEOGHAN or variation
Trying to trace any relatives of my gt grandfather STEPHEN GEOGHAN born in Ireland whereabouts not known, possibly Galway? believe his father may have been Laurence/Lawrence Stephen Geoghan was next in Stafford where he married Louisa Paddison/Pattison 1866
their children-Patrick b.1867-Charles Herbert b.1870 - Grace b.1872-Stephen b.1873-Laura b.1876
Stephen b.1873 was my g.father, he and his sisters were in Stoke on Trent workhouse in 1881
from where they were sent to Canada in 1885 their name being changed to GAGAN
My grandfather married in Ontario 1894 to Mabel Grant they went to Scotland in 1901 with their daughter Laura Maud (my mother) I know that my mother made a visit to Ireland with my brothers to visit relatives, probably in the late 1920`s so hoping tht there may be some still around? or anyone who can supply any information on the Geoghan/Gagan family there
