A mystery to be solved! Please help.
When I inquired about the death of my g.grandmother Mary Jane NUGENT (nee MCHUGH)at the place she died....a home run by Catholic sisters called The Little Sisters of The Poor in High Barnes, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland in 1938, I was told that her personal belongings had been given to her sister: MRS. NOONE of 1, Ann Street, West Hawley or Crawly (or something similar!!!)
Firstly, I was not aware that she had a married sister. The only one I can find records of was a Margaret who was stated on the 1881 census to be aged 31 and living at home with her father in Scotland and was an imbecile. Hardly think it would be her they would give the records to and that she had married? I suppose it is possible. I would love to find anyone researching the name NOONE or NOON who may have had a connection to a MCHUGH through marriage. Or, is there anyone who has any idea of the address the nuns gave me? I cannot find a West Hawley with any Ann Streets. Thank you in advance for anything to help advance my search.
