I am researching my CHRISTIE and STEVENSON line from Scotland.
James CHRISTIE m. Margaret MOODIE. They had son James CHRISTIE who married Margaret LUMSDEN, daughter of William LUMSDEN and Janet LYAL.
The marriage date of James CHRISTIE and Margaret LUMSDEN is 11/4/1832, in Leslie, Scotland.
James CHRISTIE was a shoemaker in Leslie.
James CHRISTIE and Margaret LUMSDEN had son James CHRISTIE 8/23/1833. They also had sons:
William Christie born 22 Apr 1836 in Leslie
Edward Christie born 23 Sep 1839 in Leslie
They had daughter Janet in 1844
James CHRISTIE b. 1833 married ANNA STEVENSON in Scotland and they emigrated to USA to Iowa where Anna died about 1880. They had 7 children in USA.
I am seeking any information about these families. I am especially seeking any information on Anna STEVENSON, as so far, I have hit a "brick wall".
