James Wilkie, born approx 1793. Enlisted in 1816 with the Carnatic European Battalion, part of
east India Company. He gaev his profession as Cabinet Maker and parish as Lesmahago. I cannot pin-point his birth. Can anyone help please?? Or, does anyone know whether a cabinet maker was an apprenticed trade. If so, where would I find any records.
