My Great-Grandparents are my brick wall! I have spent many months trying to find their parentage. If you can help, I'd be very grateful:
JOHN EWART married MARY PINK on 7 Dec 1846 in Donaghadee, Down, Ireland. we don't know when they emigrated; but, all kids were born here in Ontario, Canada.
John Ewart was a Lake Captain & ship owner in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. Apparently, his father was also a Master Mariner in Ireland & ship owner. He may have had a brothrt, James, also a mariner who did NOT go to Canada.
