Searching for GLADYS DOLORAS SLADE (nee BAKER)
Gladys gave birth to my Grandmother Jean Mary Slade on 27th December 1929 in Bournemouth. My grandmothers birth was registed in January 1930.
I believe that Gladys Slade was working at a hotel in Bournemouth during the time she gave birth to my grandmother. My grandmother insists that she was adopted at six months old (June 1930) but it could possibly be six weeks old. By a couple in Southampton where she was known as Jean Mary Heyes.
I know little of Gladys other than what I have mentioned in the body of this message. If anyone out there has any information regarding this lady or her family I would be very grateful.
I am researching my family tree, so simply require facts and history. I am not looking to dig up the past or cause any ill-feeling. Although I may discover my grandmother has siblings out there and if they have children of their own, my mum could find a whole batch of cousins she never knew existed!
