Seeking any descendants GRANT originated from EDINBURGH
JOHN GRANT a brassfounder married EUPHEMIA NELSON
their sons GEORGE NELSON GRANT b 1841
GEORGE NELSON married (1) MARY PLEWS STREET 1863
son EDWARD PLEWS GRANT b 1865 Mary died l866
George remarried 1868 to MARY HANNAH COPELAND
their daughter MABEL GRANT b.1874 my grandmother
Edward Grnt married but had no issue, were there any other children apart from Edward and Mabel?
if so, could there be other descendants out there
if there are, please contact me, any information would be most welcome.
George moved at an unknown date to Derby where he was employed as a travelling postman, his daughter Mabel was sent to Canada in 1889, why?
did Mary Hannah die, when & where, have been unable to trace her death on Scots records
George was on the 1901 census, now living in Bermondsey with wife Annie! obviously remarried yet again
I would love to solve the mystery as to why my grandmother had been `put away`
