My 3gg father John STEVENSON (born in Ireland) lived on Wilson St. in Girvan, Ayrshire, Scotland prior to moving to Ontario, Canada in 1856 or 1857. His son John was born to mother Mary Ann BRYAN, 3 Mar 1856, and their daughter Rebecca was born in Ontario 3 Jul 1857. I found John Jr.',s birth in the civil registration records. I also think I found John, Sr. in the 1851 census on Wilson St. with a wife Margaret and daus. Margaret and Ann. John was a cotton weaver in Scotland, and a weaver in Ontario. This man's children were Margaret, Ann Elizabeth, Agnes, John, Rebecca Maude, Jane/Jennie M., William G.
Ann married Arthur BALLS (moved to Petrolia, Ontario), Agnes married Jacob BOSWELL (moved in old age to Hailey, ID, USA, and San Diego, CA, USA), Rebecca married Arthur RUMMEL(moved to Utah, USA, and in old age to San Diego, CA, USA), Rebecca married Felix LEFARGE and Edwin JOHNSON (died in San Diego, CA, USA), William married ? and lived his adult life in London, Ontario, John may have married Ellen, and lived his adult life in Wingham, Ontario.
Am seeking iformation on any of these, their ancestors, or descendants. I would especially like to contact living descendants. |
