In short I am unsure if my great-grandfather was illegitimate or not. He was born in Dublin in 1880. I have been advised to search parish records before applying for his birth certificate because if he was illegitimate his fathers name may not be on it.
My question is how do I go about this? The only information that I have is that he was born in Dublin and was not catholic.
Any comments would be appreciated. |
