I started a post and it got accidentally sent off before I finished it......hence this second one!
G-G-Grandmother Isabella WATT was born in Scotland in 1776, as were many other Isabella/Isabel WATTs, and I have not been able to learn her exact birthplace or parents' names.
She ended up marrying Joseph B. BRADFIELD of West Riding, Yorkshire, though I'm not sure precisely where or when. They had children, Joseph in 1804, Sarah in 1808, Elizabeth in 1809, Mary in 1810 or 1811, and John in 1813, apparently all born in Knaresborough, Yorkshire. In May, 1827, they sailed for America and settled in Belmont Co., OH.
Mary married Patrick COONY, and they were my g-grandparents.
If anyone has a clue about Isabella's parents, and how she got to Yorkshire, I'd be most grateful, and would appreciate contact by e-mail. |
