Hi,
I am looking for any information on a family named Patterson. There were 4-5 siblings, James b about 1828, Janet born 1828-30, David 1836, Isabella 1840. And possibly George born about 1804. George married Margaret ?? and had William (1842) and James W (1849). George could be the grandfather of William and James W instead of the father, but according to his obituary he came to the US with his parents not his grandparents.
James (1828) came to the US in 1853 and settled for a time in Michigan. The rest of the family all came in 1857 and settled in Keokuk, Lee Co, IA. James joined them there in 1879 and they all lived there until their deaths.
