I am looking for the family of James Crystal Smart, born in either Brooklyn or Scotland about 1835-45.
He was the son of James Smart and isabella Crystal.
For some reason he and the rest of the family parted company about 1860. He may have joined the southern army during the civil war, and then again he may not have. There was a James Smart who was a member of the Anson Guard, but the age does not seem to be just right. We have information on the families of his three other brothers, and would love to know what happened to James. Thanks for any help
