| I am a descendant of John REID & Elspeth ROSS,colliers of Newtongrange,Millerhill,near Dalkeith,Midlothian.They had 5 children-John b9.2.1836,Janet/Jessie b15.5.1838,Catherine b21.3.1840,Margaret b24.2.1842 and Isabella Forgue b2.2.1845.Jessie emigrated to N Z c1862.She married William EVANS from Merthyr Tydfil,GLA,Wales 9.6.1863,Otago,N Z.She died 29.4.1907,Caversham,Dunedin,N Z.I would like info.on Jessie's family who presumably stayed in Scotland.Thank you,Colleen |
