| Wooliscrofts/Woolliscroft- looking for anyone from the Manchester/Derby area to share research with on this family. My Wooliscroft history begins with Thomas Wooliscraft (b.unknown),and Jemima Bradshaw - married in Derby, England in 1783. Their son, John Wooliscroft was born 1797 in Manchester, England and married Mary Ann Knowles in 1823 in Manchester. John and Mary Ann's son Richard was born 1829 in Manchester and married Emma Barber in Freeport in 1854, Stephenson County, Illinois USA. He had a previous marriage to Mary Ann Evans. Their two sons and Mary Ann cannot be found - perhaps they died on the way over to America? I'd love to hear from anyone linked to this family. Thanks! |
