Hi hopefully i will find some information on my
fathers family tree.
This is what i have at the moment
William Stebbings born around 1844 ashby norfolk
married a sarah surname unknown born 1844
gillingham norfolk they had the following children
1]Rebecca born 1870 2]john born 1872 hardley
norfolk 3]charles born hardley norfolk 1874,
4]richard born hardley norfolk 1875 hardley,
5] william born 1877 hardley norfolk married sarah a nicholls and varients.
6] Elizabeth born 1879 carlton norfolk,7]arthur
born 1881 langley norfolk married ethel sarah burrage 1907 belton or bolton
The nicholls line came from suffolk around the mildenhall and eriswell,southery,downham districts
william stebbings wife sarah a nicholls was born to a James Nicholls born 1853 mildenhall suffolk
and elizabeth surname unknown also born 1853 mildenhall suffolk they had the following children
1]Frances born 1873 mildenhall,2]Esther born 1875
mildenhall,4]sarah born 1877 mildenhall,4]sarah a
born 1880 eriswell.
Also researching my grandmothers family she was florence hilda sollitt born april 1912 guisborough and had two sisters cathy and edna and two brothers herbert and raymond.
My grandmothers father was a miner and died young the family in the 1920s moved to cambridgeshire for work and they stayed around the wisbech district.
Florence's mother annie married a parish her second husband after her 1st died.
The SOLLITTS came from guisborough.
In the 1901 census the STEBBINGS family moved to east suffolk they were william and sarah the parents arthur was a grocer and hawker parish was kirkley east suffolk he and his wife ethel had a daughter olive and she married a frank balls they had a son graham balls.
John stebbings stayed as well parish was lowestoft
not sure about the girls rebecca and elizabethas they would have been married.
Charles and Richard stebbings moved to london
where charles became a bus driver parish was listed as st.lukes,and richard stebbings parish was hackney occupation unknown.
