Desparately seeking family history/data for my
"cradle name" MORRIS of Surrey, England. I am now a "senior geany" who has been searching for well over 10 years and still up against a solid
BRICK WALL. Can anyone help? Here is what I have: James MORRIS and wife Elizabeth (unknown maiden name ) were blessed with three (3)
children; Mary Ann born 1828, William born 1833 and John Samuel born 1836 and all 3 children
were christened on - 01 March - 1837 in the parish of St. Peter's, Walworth, Surrey. John Samuel at age 30, a bachelor, married - in
Nov of 1867, Emily BENNETT, age 26, spinster, in
S. Pauls parish, St. Mary Newington, Surrey.
Shortly after marriage, they emigrated to Toronto,
Ont. Canada and to them was born three (3) children; John Samuel Jr., 1874, Arthur, 1875 and
Emily 1880-1881. Arthur b. 1875 was my paternal
grandfather. Emily BENNETT's father was James BENNETT and unknown. I know of two other siblings
of Emily's; Frederick Charles BENNETT - married
Elizabeth TALBOT in 1868, in the same place (above). George BENNETT, the story goes, in 1890
emigrated to Australia and became a sheep farmer
last heard from 1910. Residing in Canada and being disabled with Rheumatoid arthritis, I am unable to visit our LDS braches to further my search. Sorry for this being so lengthy, but now
I am desparate (nearly 71 yrs of age) and would
love to have more on my paternal line for next
summer's my Morris family reunion. Many, many
