Hi there,
I am researching my husband's family tree on his mother's side.
His mother was BERYL PANSY DAVIDSON born 20TH APRIL 1925 in MAYMYO, BURMA
She was the 4th of 11 children to Florence Leonara Hutchinson-Lopez and ROBERT GEORGE DAVIDSON.
ROBERT GEORGE was born on 28 OCT 1892 in SHULLAPOOR< INDIA to WILLIAM DAVIDSON and his wife whose name we do not know at present. ROBERT also had a brother named WILLIAM HUGH DAVIDSON who married a sister of Florence. Robert was a Railway Driver and based at Rangoon when he and Florence married in Yamethin in 1919
WILLIAM DAVIDSON was born on 5th AUG 1856 at 28 DEAN STREET, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND to WILLIAM DAVIDSON and ELIZABETH RANKINE. He was the 2nd of three sons that we know of. The other two sons were GEORGE RANKINE DAVIDSON born 8TH NOV 1861 EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND and JOHN DAVIDSON DAVIDSON (not a typing error there - this is his full name) born 31ST JAN 1848 EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND. Elizabeth and William were married on 25 May 1846 in St Cuthbert's Church in Edinburgh. Elizabeth is the daughter of George Rankine and Mary Caw. William (b 1856) went over t India at some time before 1892 with his wife (we think) and that is where both the sons that we know of were born.
I am hoping that there is someone out there who is related to them as we are trying to find as many relatives as we can for a family reunion that we are hoping to hold next year
