I am hoping to find information on newly found relatives in Co Louth.
Michael MARTIN born abt 1814 Poss. Castletown
Mary EYRE born abt 1814-25 Poss. Castletown
Married in Castletown Parish
Children all Christened in Castletown Parish.
Mary junior Christened 7th October 1839
Anne Jane Christened 26th April 1842
Matthew born 1846
All the family went to live in Liverpool, England
and they had another son there named Michael Junior, who on the census of 1851 was 1 year old.
All the family remained in Liverpool, the family grew up, married and for the most part easy to trace.
Mary died relatively soon after going to Liverpool, while Michael junior was still young.
Michael senior, soon after Mary's death,
left the family home one day and never returned.
He has not appeared on any official documentation since.
He could have returned to his roots in Co Louth but no one has been able to find him.
Does this family ring any bells in Dundalk?
I will be pleased to hear from anyone no matter how insignificant the connection may seem.
