Am looking for a 1/2 sister although if still living she'd be 83 now. Apparently my father was married before he married my mother.MARY THEADORA RIGBY (or Sowter) was born to Cyril W.Sowter & Alice Rigby on 12th Aug 1920. Have birth Cert but cant work out whether she was adopted in or,out?
Alice Rigby's father was Thomas Rigby a minister of the Scruton Parish in the early 1900's Her mothers name was Lucy & her sisters name was Katharine. Alice apparently married my father in 1918, but am not sure where the child came from. He married my mother in India in 1939
Anybody know anything about this family?
