I'm looking for a birth date and place name of a William Smyth. Possibly born about 1830 in Londonderry Northern Ireland. His fathers name was John, both were farm labourers. He married Eliza Lynd on the 11th Nov 1851 in the Presbyterian church in Lower Cumber in londonderry. Both resided in a place called Highmoor not far from Clawdy. Her fahers name was John, a weaver to trade. Sometime between the date of the marriage and 1858 they moved to Glasgow in Scotland.
The next mention of them that I know of is the birth of their 1st born James Smith my Great Great Granddad on the above date.
They lived at 35 Richard Street in Anderson for the birth of all their family nine brothers and sisters in all. The next time the family appears is in the 1881 Census in Salsburgh St in Shettelston Glasgow.
If anyone has any information that can help me I would be pleased to hear from them.
