I am looking for the origins of John HOPTON who
married Hannah HARTLEY at All Saints,Dewsbury,
Yorkshire.
His sons were listed as living at Commercial Rd,
Brighouse, Yorkshire on the 1851 census.
They were all coal miners and shown as sons.
Their names were William 36, Joseph 30, Benjamin 23,(my g,g,g,grandfather) and Squire 18.
This would indicate that one or both parents were
still living but not present at the time the
census was taken.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
