I am desperately trying to seek/search info on my late grandfather Sydney Smith (Smyth) born August 23/1879 in Middlesex County, London, England. His parents were William Thomas Smith (England) & Maryanna Medford (English from Barbados, West Indies) Sydney's parents were wed in Barbados & his other siblings were Edith Mary, Wilhelmina Thomas, Leonard??? & Richard??? The family apparently moved back to England somewhere in 1879 & Sydney the youngest was born & raised there. He eventually joined the British Army & in 1899 arrived New York, USA. We have no info whatsoever on any Smith (Smyth) relations or any trace of any family from his England roots & I am trying to tie loose ends together; if there are any descendants from this line, anybody reading this that might have any clue, or if this names/& or places ring a bell, pls. come up w/your comments & suggestions as I defenitely believe that there surely must be descendants from this line up to this present time. It will be so wonderful to be able to find interesting data on this part of my lineage, looking forward w/great anticipation & hoping for the best. Thank you very much in advance & kind regards.
