| WILLIAM RANKIN b. either 1817 or 1821 in Scotland, trade was "tailor". He moved to Worcestershire, England and married Sarah Cornforth in Warwickshire, in September 1844. I am trying to locate his place of birth, and possibly his mother and father. I do know his father was named CHARLES RANKIN, but where he was from, I have no idea. I am pretty sure that he was a "tailor" too, because the trade has been passed down through the family for many generations. Anyone out there with any assistance, I would greatly appreciate the help.
