I've posted several times on these boards but not for a couple of years now, so I thought I'd post again.
I am Ann-Marie Wright, born 8 January 1977 in University College Hospital, London.
Mother:
Janice Wright, born 12 December 1955.
Last known address in London: 98 Malden Road, NW5 (squat)
Believed to have gone to Birmingham with "John" on 6 September 1977, intending to marry him in December that year.
Background: Scottish - parents (Janet B Wright her mother, father's first name unknown) lived at 77 Durrockstock Road, Paisley, Near Glasgow on 2 August 1977 - they do not still live at this address. Has one brother name unknown who is 9 years older than her, who was married with a family of his own at the time.
Father:
Syd Blackwell, approximately 62 years of age in 1977, which would make him approximately 89 now. At the time, he was homeless in London. I am aware that it is unlikely he is still alive, but any information on him at all would be very welcome.
I have managed to find a list of about 15 "Janice Wrights" who got married in the 5 years after my birth, and am intending to get copies of their marriage certificates - only one is to a "John", in June 1978 in Northumberland - and I have traced what I believe to be this family to an address still in Northumberland.
If anyone has any information at all regarding either my birth mother or birth father, please get in touch - or any suggestions on how to continue. |
