my father arthur thomas stiff,born sept.1901 in battersea england,and his 2 brothers were sent to canada around 1911 from the barnardo home to live on farms.he passed away in 1985 in toronto.he married in 1925 and had 9 children,i am the 7th.born.my name is ellen[stiff] mcgann.he had 3 sisters,esther grace and i think one named blanche.i know his fathers name was abraham stiff,[he died in 1910 and is buried in morden cemetery in surrey.his home was 39longhodge st.battersea and he died at the union infirmary.i think his wifes maiden name was hopkins.so i was hoping that anyone who knows of any stiff families there ,i would much like too hear from them very much.thank you.
