Researching family of EDWARD MAUGHAN and ISABELLA.
Lived about the Walbottle district Northumberland and should have relatives still living here.
Son John MAUGHAN was born 6 sept 1876 Northumberland area .Unable to find birth on IGI. Married Mary Ann EMMERSON about 1898 at Walbottle Wesleyan Chapel Northumberland ,stated on Death certificate .
7 children to the family -Mary -Edward -Isabella -son John Emmerson died an infant - John - Robert- and Jane. John occupation at Walbottle was the Colliery Banksman .
They emigrated to Australia on ship " Herminus" Oct 1926. Mary born at Lemmington ,others and Jane born Blucher, Walbottle .
Would appreciate anything at all on family - John's brother George Maughan was living about about this area - he worked in the mines . Have an artical about George Maughan in paper "Blaydon and Tyneside Courier" on North Walbottle pit closing from family Edward living in Australia.
