I am putting this on for an elderly friend that would like to find anyone, or information that might be relate to this Scottish family….
Johnstone, Robert Gudgeon
Born: Newross, Wexford, Ireland. 1794
Age: 15 or 16 yrs, bought commission into the English Army in 1810 circa.
Married: Ann(e) Hartley, at British Embassy in Paris, 1822. Church of England or Presbyterian.
Retired 68th Regiment, at Belfast in 1846.
Their issue:
1823 - John Cockburn Johnstone
1825 - Eliza Johnstone
1827 – Rawson Parke Johnstone –M - 21yrs Liverpool England.
M: Margaret Harrison - Mother: Jane Hill / Father: Edward Harrison
Who came to Australia.via Tasmania.
