I am trying to find out information on my Great Grandfather James Simpson and his ancestors. What I know so far about James is that he was born in Stanley Scotland abt. 1851 Parents Robert Simpson & Janet Stewart. He emmigrated to Australia in 1882 on the Orontes. On the ships passenger list they had his occupation as Gamekeeper. He married Clara Fortescue on 13 Dec 1889 in North Goulburn, New South Wales. On their marriage certificate it gives his marital status as Widower. James died 5 Jun 1925 in Sydney New South Wales and on his death certificate it says that from his first marriage he had one deceased male child. Is anyone able to provided me with any info on James' immediate family, his family from his first marriage or his ancestors. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
