I was born on April 14 1956 at St Mary's hospital Paddington. My birth mother, Sheila Fagan returned to Liverpool and placed me with my adoptive parents Jean and Jimmy Trelford. My birth mother later married a man called George Smullen an Irish man serving in the R.A.F. Until recently I was led to believe George was my biological father. However on obtaining my birth records I was shocked to discover that my father is named as David Cooper, said to be a policeman who was killed in an accident in late 1955 (before my birth.) Are there any relatives or friends of David Cooper out there ? did he even exsist? maybe you can help me fit the missing pieces of the jigsaw. I have no contact with my birth mother and her husband George died last year so I am in a bit of a limbo. Perhaps you know Sheila Fagan a Livapudlian who was living in London in 1955 ? any small detail will be signifcant.
I have no desire to cause any upset to anyone regarding this matter I just have a genuine need to know who I really am. I don't think that's too much to ask at 48 years of age.
