My g grandfather John Kelly (born 1867) and his wife Bridget (nee Frame) are listed on the 1901 Census for Ballina in County Mayo. John and Bridget are noted as being born in Sligo as are their children Kate, (20) James,(18) John,(16)Michael,(14) Thomas,(12) (my grandfather) Bridget, (10)William, (8)Peter, (6) Joseph (4)and Maria.(2) John is listed as being a fisherman, as is his Father, also John Kelly, as stated on John's Death Certificate (died 1921 in Bathgate, Scotland) As Maria is listed as being 2 years of age in 1901, then they must have moved to Mayo from Sligo just before the 1901 Census was undertaken.
Would any kind soul know where I can start to search for the children's Births and their Parents marriage and siblings. Also his Father, John in Sligo.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
