I would truly appreciate any help I can get with finding out any info on my Great, Great, Great Grandfather - a John Forbes - Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Born - 1808.
Attended the Edinburg University, in the school of Theolgy. Graduated, but refused ordainment because of a disagreement with a man, named McLeod, and one of his professors.
Sailed for Canada on a Brig - Aibon or Albion, probably early 1830's.
I would really like to know who his father and mother were, and any other info one might have to help me.
