| Looking for information on my GGGrandfather WILLIAM ALEXANDER. Born around 1810, lived and had a "grocery store" in the village of Whitless, Ayr, Scotland. Emigrated to US between 1836 and 1839. Settled in Clinton County, Iowa. Married Maria Hall in 1847, they had one son. William died in 1850 in Iowa. |
