| My great-grandfather, Patrick Doyle, b.c. 1850 in Kilkenny, Ireland. His father was Patrick Doyle, shoemaker. Patrick joined the British Army in 1886 and served most of his time in India. He married an Indian/Portugese girl (Amelia Rebeira) in Jubbelpore, India, on 7th May, 1881. In 1883 they left for South Australia. Can't find his family in Ireland. Have not more details than this on him. He was not a tall man and was 32 when he married. No siblings mentioned anywhere. Help! |
