| Looking for John Glasgow born 1742, parents unknown, have heard names James and Mary. John died in Abbeville South Carolina USA in 1828. He served in the American Revolution as a member of the SC militia. It is rumored that he was born in Glasgow Scotland. It is also rumored that he and his wife, Elizabeth/Nellie came to the USA in 1771. Two known children are James and Henry, both born in South Carolina. It is also possible that John migrated to North Ireland prior to coming to the USA. Cookstown Northern Ireland has been suggested as a possible site in Ireland prior to coming to the USA. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |
