I am seeking information on my gggrandfather John Davies. According to the 1870 New York federal census(12/30/1870) he was 25 years old.Unless he was born on New Years's eve that would make his year of birth 1843 and gave the Bahama Islands as place of birth. Family history tells me his father was Rev. Robert E. Davies an Anglican minister.
Any and all help will greatly appreciated.
