Hello. I am searching for descendants, ascendants, and other relatives of two families on my mother's side. They mainly lived in the Bethnal Green area of London, although here and there some families moved around a bit. I don't think they ventured too far from London, though.
(1) Augustus Weil (1849-97), his first wife Ann Nevin (1846-95), and his second wife Louisa Catherine Janson (1871-?). Augustus was born in Germany, the son of Ludwig Weil. Augustus and Ann had 7 children: Emily, Alice (married Alfred Shearing), Rhoda, Mary, Clara (married James Davies), Annie, & Augustus. Son Augustus later changed his surname to Wills. Augustus & Louisa had 2 children: Leonard & Olive. Louisa later remarried and I don't know what happened to that branch of the family.
(2) Alice Weil (b. 1870 London, d. 1957 Montreal Canada) & Alfred Shearing (1861-?). Alfred was the son of Samuel Shearing or Sherring (wife Ann) and had 3 brothers (Arthur, Daniel, Robert) & 1 sister (Kezia). Alice Weil & Alfred Shearing married in 1890 and had 3 sons: Alfred, Arthur Samuel, and Edward Robert (my grandfather). In 1913 she took Arthur & Edward to Canada. They changed their surname to Roberton for unknown reasons. Alice died in Montreal in 1857 as the widow of George Gregg. I don't know what happened to her first husband, Alfred Shearing, or to her sons Arthur and Edward.

I do know that the Weils & Shearings have many descendants in England. I have a good amount of family tree information that I would like to exchange with others researching these two families.

Look forward to hearing from someone.
Pearl
