| I am looking for information about the ancestors or descendents of my great grandparents, Michael Canning(DOB March 1856) and Sarah (Vallely) Canning (DOB October 1855), both of whom were born in Ireland. According to the British Isles IGI, their first son, John, was born on April 25, 1879 in Killala, Mayo, Ireland. Michael came to the USA in 1882, and was followed by his wife and son in 1883. Per the U.S. Census of 1900, Michael was a stone mason and his son, John, was an engineer. |
