| Looking for any info on John McDonald son of Alexander McDonald of Sleat on the Isle of Skye.Came to US in 1865-believed to be around 15 yrs. old at that time. He had 9 sons,Allen, Abraham, Alexander, John, James, David, Elijah and Levi.Allen McDonald was born in S. C. in 1791,joined War of 1812 in Tenn. and later moved to Jefferson Co., Alabama.
