Trying to identify whether connected to me or not...
"Attestation Information" for 22237 PTE.E BOOTH. Yorks& Lancs Regiment is that...
"On 27/11/1915 he was 26 yrs 4 mnths, 5'6", 35" chest with 3" expansion, 136 lbs weight. Occupation 'Cutler'. Born - Parish of Sheffield. Attested in Sheffield by someone called Ringwood. Medical by M/O Greenwood. Attestation approved on 15/2/196, and he was transferred to the 15th Battalion on16/2/1916"

I have his 1914- 1918 War Medal, which came to me with the 1939 - 1945 War Medals of Thomas Wells Long, my stepfather - but with no clue as to WHY Tom had E Booth's medal. I cannot find any family connection as I do not know enough about Tom's forbears to know where to look.

Any bells ringing?
