I am looking for information on the following family members :- SECOMBE/SECCOMBE all variations. In particular I am looking for the two members listed below and hopefully their descendants.
Edgar A.SECOMBE/SECCOMBE b. 1877, Duffus,Scotland. and his sister, Daisy Margaret Louisa SECOMBE/SECCOMBE b. approx 1879, Aberdour,Scotland.
Edgar and Daisy were the children of Andrew SECOMBE/SECCOMBE and Emma CHASTON. Andrew was a C/guard posted at the time in Duffus,Scotland, and I think Emma was also the daughter of a C/guard (Lionel CHASTON) also posted there. Andrew was later posted to Suffolk, where he died as a serving C/Guard in 1884.
Edgar A. SECOMBE, married Elizabeth HAINES in 1904 at Christ Church, Dover,Dent. He was at this time a seaman in the R.N. and living at 5 Clarendon Place. We think Edgar had at least one child. No further information after this.
Daisy Margaret Louisa SECOMBE/SECCOMBE, b. Aberdour,Scotland, was married 1901 to Joseph Henry Randall, St.Marks Church, Croydon,Surrey.
At the time of her marriage, Daisy was listed as a Nurse. In the 1902 Census in the parish of Aldringham,Suffolk Daisy was living with her g.parents, Lionel & Sarah CHASTON. She was 10 years old. We have no further information on her after her marriage in 1901.
I would appreciate any information on the above people or any of their descendants. I have compiled a Family History on my branch of the Secombe/Seccombe family, and would love to share it with them.
