| BROWN and PORTEOUS. I am looking for the Parents and any family related to ALEXANDER BROWN who married a MARGARET PORTEOUS in December 1864 at COLDINGHAM in the county of BERWICH. They had a daughter SARAH JANE BROWN born in November 1875. Sarah later married WILLIAM BEATIE STEPHEN( birth date September 1878 at we think LAURENCEKIRK )the date and place of their Marriage is unknown, they had 1 son ALEXANDER BROWN ( born October 1908 )and 2 Daughters ETHEL PORTEOUS ( born July 1910 ) and MARGARET JESSIE HELEN (born july 1913 ).
