I am trying to reunite a mother and daughter, but with very little information...However,here it is: In July of August of 1959, at the Bolton and Distrit General Hospital,(Lancashire) an unmarried mother named Mary ? ,gave birth to a baby girl who she named Theresa..Mary was from an Irish family but I am nearly sure that they were based somewhere in England..The baby´s father was an Irish National, but he left Mary..Mary´s parents never knew about her plight, and we only knew about her because our Parish Priest asked us to help her, as she was completely alone in the hospital..My mother went to see her many times and actually saw the father once; he just went to visit Mary briefly when he heard that the baby had been born, but promptly returned to Ireland..After leaving hospital, Mary went to live at a home for unmarried mothers and their babies in Blackburn, Lancs. and later to another home in Manchester..A few months later, Mary decided to give her baby up for adoption, as she had no means of supporting her, and as her parents never knew, they couldn´t help either..All I know is that Theresa was adopted by a couple in Accrington, Lancs...Mary was devastated, but only thought of the child´s well being.I then came to live in Mexico and lost touch with Mary altogether. With the changes in adoption laws, I have been wondering if Mary was able to ever find Theresa, and if there was a happy ending ro this sad story..So if anyone in the Accrington area, called Theresa, knows that she was born in Bolton in July or August of 1959 and also knows that she was adopted, please contact me at: gyprobredo@hotmail.com I would love to tell her just what a wonderful person her mother was, and why she was adopted etc.etc.etc.
